It can be heartbreaking for one spouse to watch the other drift away due to alcohol, drugs or any other vice that steals that spouse from the family. After trying many other things, some Utah spouses will resort to threatening divorce if his or her spouse doesn’t “clean up” his or her act. There are many people who wonder if that is what Khloe Kardashian is doing.
It has long been rumored that the marriage between Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom is on the rocks. Now it seems as though Khloe has asked her lawyer to draw up divorce papers. The question is whether she is ready to actually file those papers.
Sources claim that Khloe still loves her husband and drafting and signing the divorce papers may be a last ditch effort on her part to get her husband to accept help. He allegedly has a drug problem, and that is the wedge that is driving them apart. Up to this point, Lamar has reportedly not wanted help and has refused to work on their marriage. Despite this, Khloe may not yet be ready to give up on her marriage, but it seems she is getting close.
Depending on Lamar’s reaction, she may end up having to file those papers after all. The same could hold true for people in Utah who try to scare their spouses into action by threatening divorce. The party making the threat may need to prepare for the fact that the other party would rather get divorced. Sometimes, there just isn’t enough love to overcome an addiction.
